World Sprinting Champion Dead

She won three Olympic medals in 2016 and the world championship the next year in an intense 100-meter dash.

Tori Bowie, a sprinter who won three medals at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and the next year won the world championship in the 100-meter dash with a stunning comeback, has died. She was 32.

Her death was confirmed in a statement on Wednesday by U.S.A. Track and Field, which provided no other details.

The Orange County, Fla., sheriff’s office said in a statement that its personnel went to a house in Winter Garden, Fla., on Tuesday to check on a woman in her 30s who had not been seen or heard from in several days. They entered the home and found the body of a woman, whom they tentatively identified as Frentorish “Tori” Bowie. The statement said “there were no signs of foul play.”

At the 2016 Olympics, Bowie won a gold medal in the 4×100 relay, anchoring a team with Tianna Bartoletta, Allyson Felix and English Gardner that finished the race with a time of 41.01. She won the silver medal in the 100-meter dash and bronze in the 200-meter.

The U.S. relay team advanced to the Olympics final only after winning an appeal of a ruling that would have disqualified them for dropping a baton in a qualifying race. The American runners were allowed a rerun after Olympic officials decided that a Brazilian runner had interfered with Felix as she was about to hand off the baton to Gardner.

To make it to the finals, the U.S. team had to run alone on the track in a time trial and do so faster than the slowest qualifier for the finals. They did, recording the fastest time that day, and went on to win the gold with Bowie as anchor.

Bowie’s world championship title came the next year in London, in a dramatic 100-meter race. Marie-Josée Ta Lou of Ivory Coast had sprung into the lead and seemed well ahead of the rest of the pack. But Bowie accelerated, caught up to Ta Lou and leaned through the finish line ahead of her before tumbling to the ground.

“I think it was more of a lean, and, you know, I just lost control of it,” Bowie told an interviewer from the BBC after her win, adding that the fall came from “just wanting to win so bad.”

She won one more gold at that world championship, in the 4×100 relay.

Her sister, Tamarra Bowie, who also ran track, told Vogue magazine in 2018, “Tori has a second gear that nobody else has.”

Frentorish Bowie was born on Aug. 27, 1990. Her grandmother raised her in Sand Hill, Miss., a small town outside Jackson. She graduated in 2008 from Pisgah High School in Brandon, also in the Jackson area, where she played basketball, ran track and competed in the long jump.

Bowie went to the University of Southern Mississippi, where she became the national champion in the long jump in 2011. She graduated in 2012 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.

She placed fourth in the long jump at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar, in 2019. She also worked as a model.

Her survivors include her sister.

At last night’s Best FIFA Football Awards in Paris, Lionel Messi was honored with the 2022 Best Men’s Player award, beating out Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema for the win. It was a banner year for the star forward, who scored seven goals at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and helped bring Argentina its first World Cup victory since 1986. As Messi accepted the award, he gave a heartfelt speech reflecting on the significance of this moment—while also showing off a spectacular Patek Philippe watch that only hit shelves last year.

For the awards ceremony, Messi stepped out in the Patek Philippe Ref. 5270P Perpetual Calendar Chronograph that came out in 2022, listed for $218,820 on the brand’s website. The 41 mm watch comes in a platinum case with a sapphire crystal caseback, features a green dial and gold hour markers and is fitted with a shiny black alligator leather strap.

Messi accepted the Best Men’s Player award after a season in which he scored 16 goals in 27 games and 14 assists.

“I want to express my thanks to [coach Lionel] Scaloni and my teammates; without them I would not be here,” Messi said while accepting the trophy, per ESPN. “I achieved a dream I had been hoping for so long and finally I achieved it. It’s a dream for any player; very few people can achieve that and I was lucky enough to do so.”

The soccer star has previously shown off high-end watches including a $145,000 white-gold Patek Philippe Nautilus and a rose-gold Rolex Yacht-Master.

Lionel Messi & Kylian Mbappe better as a duo! Winners & Losers as Ligue 1 leaders see off Marseille in impressive style without Neymar

L. MessiK. MbappéPSGWinners & LosersFeatures & OpinionsOlympique Marseille vs PSGOlympique MarseilleLigue 1

Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi were among the goals as Paris Saint-Germain turned in a counter-attacking clinic to beat Marseille.

PSG spent most of Sunday proving that it helps to have two of the best players in the world. The Parisians weren’t always good, but they relied on their stars, who took over in the big moments to inspire a 3-0 victory that takes them eight points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 standings.

After being pinned back for the first 20 minutes, PSG exploded. Mbappe was first, darting behind the Marseille backline, latching on to Messi’s pass, and finding the bottom corner.

Messi followed shortly after, this time turning home a cross from Mbappe to give the Ligue 1 leaders a 2-0 lead. The 35-year-old’s simple finish was his 700th goal at club level, and he is now just one goal away from matching Cristiano Ronaldo’s all-time European record.

The duo hit on the break again shortly after half time. Messi provided the pass, with a lovely curled chip into the path of Mbappe. The forward buried it with aplomb, guiding the ball into the far corner with an outside-of-the-foot volley for his 200th goal in a PSG shirt – level with Edinson Cavani as the club’s all-time record scorer.

Marseille had some chances as the half wore on, but Gianluigi Donnarumma made a series of neat saves, while PSG’s backline produced a handful of important clearances.

For all of the criticism levelled at PSG and head coach Christophe Galtier, the Ligue 1 leaders still have Mbappe and Messi. That, as it turns out, is a good thing.

: Lionel Messi

This was a modern Messi classic. He doesn’t run much anymore, nor does he affect play as he did in his Barcelona heyday. But he can still produce game-defining moments.

And that was the case against Marseille, as the forward was deadly when required. He assisted PSG’s first, threading a perfectly-weighted pass into the stride of Mbappe. He scored the second shortly after, buzzing into the penalty area before finishing from inside the six-yard box for his 700th club career goal.

And then, the third. Messi curved a ball over the back four, which Mbappe turned in with an outside-of-the-foot volley to establish an unassailable lead.

It was one of those performances where Messi makes everything look so easy. He seldom sprinted; he never really seemed to try. Still, he lifted his team to a win nonetheless.

• Getty
: Neymar jr

Was this the game that suggested that Neymar is surplus to requirements?

PSG were far more dangerous in the absence of the Brazilian attacker, who has been sidelined due to ankle ligament damage, and are now arguably better overall without him. Neymar, brilliant as he is, slows the game down. He constricts the spaces, allows opponents to recover, and can be detrimental to the flow of an attack. For all of the brilliant, eye-catching moments, he is something of an awkward fit in this side.

And Sunday was perfect proof. Mbappe and Messi were devastating on the break and worked well in tandem with a more aggressive midfield trio backing them up. There are certainly benefits to having Neymar in the side, especially when PSG play against teams that will sit back a bit more. But in these open contests, the Brazilian is no longer a necessity.

: Kylian Mbappe

Turns out the other guy isn’t too bad at football either.

Mbappe was radically different to Messi on Sunday. He was all energy, a blur of legs and tricks. And it was just too much for Marseille. The winger started deep, but eventually pushed higher up the pitch, tasked with running in behind a worryingly open Marseille back line.

And he was devastating once he got into the right positions. Mbappe scored the opener with a dash into space and finish. He grabbed the third with a curved run and volley. He added an assist for good measure, nutmegging a defender with a probing cross that Messi turned in from short range.

There could have been one or two more, had Pau Lopez not made two big stops. Still, Mbappe will take the brace. He is now PSG’s joint all-time leading goalscorer with 200 goals. If he sticks around, there will be a lot more to come.

: The title race

Well, that was fun while it (maybe) lasted.

There has been a new competitor to PSG’s title hopes every week. First, it was Lorient. Then it was Lens’ turn. And going into Sunday, Marseille were the newly anointed challengers. And it makes sense. Marseille are direct, intense and dynamic. They have pace on the break and are solid enough defensively to make some noise atop the table.

But their hopes crumbled over 90 commanding Parisian minutes. PSG battered their league rivals without having to dominate play, simply relying on their two-star men to brush aside the second-placed team.

Marseille weren’t at their best on the day, and committed a series of mistakes that led to two of PSG’s goals. But near-perfection is required to compete with the reigning champs. Marseille, for all of their strengths, can’t reach the same level every single week.

It’s not over yet, but it’s difficult to see which team can push PSG next.

: Christophe Galtier

This wasn’t a managerial masterclass from Galtier. But he kept it simple, and that worked. Galtier relied on his preferred 3-5-2 system, gave his front two freedom to operate, and configured his midfield triangle to nullify Marseille’s creativity.

Alexis Sanchez, so devastating for Marseille at his best, was kept mostly quiet. Matteo Guendouzi had little space to make any signature driving runs. And Cengiz Under, usually so quick and tricky, had very few clear opportunities.

It all amounted to a solid performance, with Messi and Mbappe carrying the attacking weight, and the rest of the team working hard enough around them to get a crucial three points.

The former Lille boss might not be the answer going forward, but he has enough talent in his side to keep winning — as long as he doesn’t fiddle around too
: Presnel Kimpembe

The centre-back’s rotten luck continues. Presnel Kimpembe went down injured while tracking back early in the game, and was visibly upset while being stretchered off. It was another tough blow in an unfortunate season for the France international, who missed the World Cup with a knock, and is now facing another lengthy spell out.

Galtier confirmed after the match that Kimpembe will miss the rest of the season after tearing his achilles.

PSG should stay afloat in his absence, especially with Sergio Ramos and Marquinhos settling into form. But Kimpembe is a top talent, and will undoubtedly be a big miss, not least for the extra experience he can offer.

Citizens ready for war

Preview: RB Leipzig vs. Manchester City – prediction, team news, lineups

By Tsuma Brown

Manchester City kick-start their Champions League knockout campaign with a trip to Germany where they will face RB Leipzig in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Wednesday night.

The Citizens will be seeking revenge at the Red Bull Arena after losing their previous visit 2-1 in the group stage of last season’s competition.

Match preview

Qualifying from the Champions League group stage seemed a tall order for Leipzig earlier this season after losing their first two matches against Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid, but the German outfit bounced back to win their remaining four games – including an impressive 3-2 home victory over Los Blancos – and qualify as runners-up of Group F.

Those four wins took place during an impressive 18-game unbeaten run across all competitions between October 1 and February 11, which was eventually brought to an end courtesy of a 2-1 home loss against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga.

Marco Rose’s side returned to winning ways last weekend, though, as they breezed to a 3-0 away victory over Wolfsburg to keep them in the mix for the Bundesliga title. Leipzig currently sit fifth in the table but there are just five points separating the top six teams with 13 games remaining.

Leipzig are sure to have one eye on upcoming clashes with sixth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt and second-placed Borussia Dortmund, but they must first turn their attention back to the Champions League and prepare for their third last-16 encounter with an English club, having previously beaten Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 on aggregate in 2019-20 before losing to Liverpool by the same scoreline in 2020-21.

Die Roten Bullen – who lost to Rangers in the Europa League semi-finals last season – will reminisce about the aforementioned home triumph over Man City last season, which saw Dominik Szoboszlai and Andre Silva both on the scoresheet before Kyle Walker was sent off in the closing stages.

Leipzig will be aware of the challenge that awaits them on Wednesday, but they can enter the contest with confidence of claiming a positive result against a City side who are hoping to rediscover their mojo following an inconsistent spell of form.

Just three days after securing a 3-1 away victory over Premier League title rivals Arsenal, Man City were dealt a blow in the quest to retain their top-flight crown as they were held to a 1-1 draw away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

A dominant Citizens side, who boasted 73% possession and 23 shots across the 90 minutes, were in front at the break courtesy of a 41st-minute strike from Bernardo Silva, but they were made to rue a plethora of missed chances before Chris Wood tapped home an 84th-minute equaliser for Forest.

Pep Guardiola’s side have now failed to win four of their last five away matches in all competitions, while they have dropped seven points in as many Premier League games, leaving them two points adrift of leaders Arsenal having played a game more than the Gunners.

A return to the Champions League is next on the agenda for City, and the pressure is on Guardiola to lead the club to glory for the first time in their history having previously admitted in December that his time as City manager will not be “complete” if he fails to win Europe’s elite club competition.

The Citizens are competing in the Champions League knockout rounds for the 10th successive year after winning four and drawing two of their six group-stage matches earlier this season to top Group G ahead of Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Copenhagen. They now enter Wednesday’s clash with Leipzig seeking to advance from the last 16 for the sixth consecutive season.

Prior to the group-stage loss against Leipzig last season, City had put together a 15-game unbeaten run against German opposition in the Champions League, including a thrilling 6-3 victory over Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium in September 2021. The Citizens will hope for another emphatic showing in front of goal on Wednesday as they bid to gain an advantage to take into next month’s second leg on home soil.

Team News

Leipzig will be without Peter Gulacsi (ACL), Dani Olmo (thigh) and Abdou Diallo (knee) due to injury, but the Germans have been handed a boost regarding the fitness of Christopher Nkunku and Konrad Laimer, who both came off the bench last weekend.

Nkunku made his long-awaited return after three months on the sidelines with a knee injury, but it remains to be seen whether he is fully fit to start on Wednesday, so Andre Silva could continue up front with support provided in the final third by Timo Werner, Emil Forsberg and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Laimer managed to shake off a thigh issue to feature against Wolfsburg and he could return to the first XI to partner Xaver Schlager in centre-midfield, while highly-rated centre-back Josko Gvardiol is set to continue alongside Willi Orban, who returned to the side against Wolfsburg after a week away to donate stem cells.

Rose may consider making changes at full-back, with Lukas Klostermann hoping to fend off competition from Mohamed Simakan and Benjamin Henrichs for the right-back role, while Marcel Halstenberg will be pushing to start ahead of David Raum at left-back.

As for Man City, John Stones remains out as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury, but otherwise Guardiola has a fully-fit squad at his disposal.

Guardiola has made at least one change to his defence in each of the last 11 matches in all competitions, and further alterations could be on the cards against Leipzig, with Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji and Rico Lewis all hoping to force their way back into the first XI.

Bernardo Silva is expected to continue in his makeshift left-back role, drifting into a deep-lying midfield position alongside Rodri when City are in possession, while Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan will likely keep their places in the middle of the pitch.

Riyad Mahrez could be recalled to the starting lineup at the expense of either Phil Foden or Jack Grealish, while Erling Braut Haaland – who has scored six goals in four previous meetings against Leipzig – is set to lead the line ahead of Julian Alvarez.

RB Leipzig possible starting lineup:
Blaswich; Klostermann, Orban, Gvardiol, Raum; Schlager, Laimer; Szoboszlai, Forsberg, Werner; Silva

Manchester City possible starting lineup:
Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Ake; Rodri, Bernardo; Mahrez, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Grealish; Haaland

We say: RB Leipzig 1-2 Manchester City

Excluding the away triumph over Arsenal, Man City have been far from their best on the road in recent weeks, and another challenging encounter could be in store on Wednesday as Leipzig have previously shown their threat going forward against the Citizens.

However, City tend to respond well from disappointing results and we expect Guardiola’s key men to make the difference in a closely-fought contest in Germany.

Neymar tried sliding into the DMs of Brazil’s Alves volleyball twins but failed miserably

Neymar tried sliding into the DMs of Brazil’s Alves volleyball twins but failed miserably
Paris Saint Germain star Neymar tried sliding into the DMs of Brazil’s Alves volleyball twins but was ultimately unsuccessful.

Twins Key and Keyt Alves are both professional volleyball players in Brazil and they made headlines this week after revealing that football superstar Neymar was chatting to the sisters on Instagram.

Key said to samba star and fellow Big Brother Brasil contestant this week: “Do you know what his slip-up was? He was chatting to my twin sister before she was in a relationship.

“Then she started dating and he stopped. Then what did he do? He sent me a message as if the two of us hadn’t discussed him calling her.”

Key then claimed that she pretended to play along with the PSG star’s charm in order to allow her twin sister to call him out.

She continued: “Do you know what he said? ‘Who knows, maybe I’ll get with both of you.

“My sister and I, we talk about everything, did he really think I wouldn’t mention it? Now, if he hadn’t sent her a message, if he’d only sent one to me, I’d already be over in Paris. Don’t you think so? Taking a stroll, right?”

Aside from volleyball, Key is also active on social media and has an OnlyFans account.

She previously explained to Globo Esporte: “I’m going into my third year on a professional volleyball team and I consider myself a professional athlete.

“But things off the court started to grow a lot for me. So I started paying a little more attention to that side career.

“Whether I like it or not, today it’s my biggest income. I earn about 50 times more with digital platforms than with volleyball, and more on OnlyFans because the monthly price of 16 euros is fixed.”

She also said that the pictures she posts on OnlyFans are safe for work.

Key added: “The photos I post on my OnlyFans page are totally intended for ‘light’ and professional sessions. No nudity or anything like that. Anyone looking for this on my profile won’t find it.”

Neymar made a miraculous recovery from injury as soon as PSG regained possession
Neymar made a miraculous recovery from injury in seconds once Paris Saint-Germain regained possession on Wednesday night.

The Ligue One champions were knocked out of Coupe de France at the round of 16 by rivals Marseille at Stade Velodrome.

Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring with a penalty before Sergio Ramos levelled matters and prompted a passionate Lionel Messi celebration just before half-time.

Ukraine international Ruslan Malinovskyi bagged the winner in the 57th minute.

But one of the most talked about moments of the game involved PSG star Neymar in the first half when the score was 0-0.

After losing the ball, the Brazilian fell to the floor to try and get a free-kick and remained there for a good few seconds after the referee waved play to continue.

Marseille moved the ball to the left and Neymar then sat up for a brief moment. But PSG turned over possession, with Marco Verratti nipping and feeding Messi.

And that saw Neymar, who assisted Ramos’ goal, rise from the dead before sprinting up the pitch in as PSG counter attacked with blistering pace.

He never got the ball as Messi was smothered and Marseille got the ball back. But the antics of Neymar won’t exactly doing his reputations any favours given he regularly gets accused of diving.

Fans promptly scolded Neymar for ‘feigning injury” and healing up in next to no time.

One wrote: “It would have been hilarious if he went back to ground right after they lost it again.”

A second joked: “We have witnessed a miracle here today. The healing power of soccer is truly something to behold.

Another added: “He faked an injury for a couple of seconds before he realised that the ref wasn’t buying it, then immediately jumped up the instant his team won the ball.

A fourth said: “Classic Neymar. Love his skills and talent but the diving and drama taints it for me.”

A fifth weighed in: “Guys like this should never get the courtesy kick out of bounds when they’re down.”

Neymar tipped for stunning Barcelona return as PSG ‘plan to sell forward’
Neymar’s future is again the talk of the town with Paris Saint Germain reportedly planning to sell the forward in the summer.

Despite being in fine form this season, Neymar received the brunt of the criticism that came PSG’s way after their poor display during the 3-1 defeat by Monaco.

It was reported that the defeat led to multiple bust-ups, both on the pitch and inside the dressing room, with Neymar front and centre of controversy once again.

According to Spanish news outlet AS, the reigning Ligue 1 champions are looking to part ways with the player that they spent £196 million on five and a half years ago.

It has been claimed that Neymar’s role in the defeat by Monaco, plus his attitude towards his fellow teammates and club sporting director Luis Campos has led to the relationship between the two parties to turn sour.

During the match against Monaco, fan footage captured Neymar venting his frustrations towards teammate Vitinha after not receiving the ball from the Portuguese midfielder.

Some reports claimed that Neymar was also displeased with young striker Hugo Ekitike, with some Monaco players believed to be shocked by what they heard from the Brazilian superstar.

To make matters worse, it was then reported that Neymar aimed his anger towards Campos in the dressing room after the final whistle.

Neymar is currently tipped to make a stunning return to Camp Nou, with Barcelona priced at 7/1 to sign the Brazilian forward.

Chelsea are second favourites at 8/1 to make a move for the PSG player but it remains to be seen whether Todd Boehly will spend big again in the summer transfer window.

Clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle are all believed to be in the running if PSG decide to part ways with Neymar.

However, AS did state that PSG might find it difficult to offload Neymar due to his reported mammoth salary of £40 million.

Will Neymar be sold by PSG in the summer? Only time will tell.

Neymar and Lionel Messi ‘both on the verge of leaving’ PSG at the end of the season
Former Barcelona stars Neymar and Lionel Messi could both make their sensational exits from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window, according to reports in France.

Messi is out of contract in the summer and PSG were reportedly keen for him to commit his long-term future to the club after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Neymar’s future in the French capital, on the other hand, has been plunged into doubt in recent weeks amid reports PSG could sell him in the summer.

The 31-year-old Brazilian winger, who is under contract until 2025, was involved in a dressing room bust-up after PSG’s 3-1 defeat to Monaco on Saturday.

It is believed that Neymar has also had a tense relationship with PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe, who was promoted to the vice-captaincy this season.

According to Foot Mercato, PSG are now open to the idea of allowing both Neymar and Messi to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.

Neymar clashed with PSG sporting director Luis Campos in a heated argument after Christophe Galtier’s men suffered their second consecutive defeat.

Speaking on the incident, he said: “It has happened. We didn’t agree with what was being said at that time, so we had a discussion about it.

“We talk about football, all of us. Football is about communicating. Of course, there is respect on both sides, and sometimes you don’t agree on things. So there might be a discussion to improve the team, the atmosphere, our play.

“We have lost a few games and we are frustrated about that. We want to win all the time.

“When those defeats come around, it hurts, so discussions are part of that. That can help us improve as a team.

“I think it has helped because we cleared things up. We know what we are all thinking.”

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has reportedly travelled to Paris to discuss Neymar deal

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has reportedly travelled to Paris to discuss Neymar deal
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has held discussions with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential deal for Neymar, according to reports in France.

The Brazilian forward’s future in the French capital has been up in the air of late.

In fact, PSG are open to the idea of allowing Neymar to leave the Ligue 1 side this summer, according to AS, who mention his attitude towards teammates and sporting director Luis Campos.

He was, by his own admission, involved in a heated dressing room bust-up following PSG’s 3-1 defeat to Monaco on Saturday, after Campos accused the players of lacking aggression.

And his ‘tenuous’ relationship with club captain Kylian Mbappe continues to cause headlines.

With rumours swirling around his future at the Parc des Princes, reliable French publication Le Parisien suggest Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is interested in making a move for the former Barcelona forward.

Boehly travelled to Paris on Tuesday to hold talks with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi about the conditions of a potential deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Neymar, who is under contract at the Ligue 1 champions until 2025, is unlikely to come cheap but the ambitious Boehly has shown he is not afraid to splash the cash since completing a £4.25 billion takeover in May.

Last summer, they forked out a record-breaking £278 million on transfers as Kalidou Koulibaly, Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella arrival
And the Premier League outfit have thrown a further £323 million at improving Graham Potter’s underperforming squad in January, too, with Mykhailo Mudryk arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal worth £88 million.

The Blues also completed a British record £106.8 million transfer for World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez on transfer deadline day, while Benoit Badiashile, Malo Gusto and Noni Madueke also arrived from Europe.

Chelsea certainly have plenty of attacking talent in their ranks, so do they really need Neymar?

The Brazilian, who signed for Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 for a then world-record fee of £200 million, takes home a reported £606,000 per week at the French club.

Barcelona had to take out a loan of £31.5m to help cover the signing of Griezmann after Atletico refused to accept payment in instalments.

ARSENAL FIRMLY IN RACE FOR COLOMBIA STAR

Playmaker James Rodriguez has begun house-hunting in England ahead of a possible move to the Premier League this summer, according to a report.

Rodriguez joined the Bundesliga giants back in summer 2017 on a two-year loan deal, which they have option to turn into a £38million permanent switch in June.

The 27-year-old, who has also been linked with moves to Arsenal and Liverpool, has not always been a first choice for Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac.

That has led to speculation that Bayern will not use their option to buy on the Colombia star, meaning that he would return to parent club Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Now, Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon have provided a key update on Rodriguez’s situation by stating that he is hunting for a new house, but not in Madrid.

He is apparently considering moving to three cities – the first being London, a city that seduces him and one where Arsenal boss Unai Emery would welcome him with open arms in a €55m deal once Mesut Ozil leaves the club.
The operation and the contacts are in ‘stand by’, and the report states that the door would be closed if the Gunners do not beat Chelsea in the Europa League final and qualify for next year’s Champions League.

Turin is also a possible destination for Rodriguez due to Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence, but it is described as the ‘least likely’ due to the uncertainty surrounding the coaching situation and the fact he would have to take a pay cut.

The final option mentioned is Paris, with Neymar having reportedly requested that PSG sign him, but Real president Florentino Perez would likely try and tie it in with a deal for Neymar or Kylian Mbappe.
